Comprehensive Skin Cancer Checks

During your quick and painless skin check, our doctors will examine your entire skin surface, including areas not normally exposed to sunlight such as the mouth, scalp, eyes and feet. They will only check under a patient’s undergarments if requested. During your check, our doctors may also look for skin changes, moles or freckles with unusual features and examine suspicious looking spots.

Skin Biopsies

Our doctors are trained to identify moles or skin lesions that could be a potential skin melanoma. If they see any potential problems, they will take a biopsy to examine the tissue further by a pathologist. This procedure, which requires only a local anaesthetic to numb the area, is quick, simple and potentially lifesaving.

Skin Cancer Surgery

Our team of skilled doctors are experienced at removing skin cancers under a local anaesthetic in our state-of-the-art surgical rooms. If our patients require a general anaesthetic depending the on the size, position and complexity of the cancer, we will refer them to specialised surgeons at the public or private hospital.

Total Body Photography (TBP)

For our patients who have dysplastic moles (moles that are larger and irregular in size than the average mole) or for patients who have a lot of moles, we utilise Total Body Photography (TBP) to help us keep track of any changes to their moles. TBP is a valuable tool for the early detection of cancer.) to be reworded

HEINE Cube imaging mapping system

This innovative and in-depth image analysis of patients’ skin moles, freckles and lesions helps to monitor any skin cancer potential spots. This mapping system utilises a series of pictures taken over time of our patients’ skin issues to compare the images at a later date to determine if any changes are taking place.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

We provide photodynamic therapy as a skin cancer preventative treatment. Any potential skin cancer spots can be monitored by PDT, which involves the use of a specialised topical treatment (cream or gel) and a light source to make the cancer sensitive to light. This creates a photochemical reaction that helps prevent non-cancerous skin lesions from morphing into cancerous ones.

Digital Biopsies using LC-OCT Confocal Microscopy

The biopsy is performed without an incision, through a non-invasive examination conducted from the surface of the skin,
similar to an ultrasound. The results are quickly available, enabling expediated decision making of further treatment if necessary

Acne Clinic with Blue Light Therapy

Blue light therapy, which is a clinically proven non-invasive treatment, is effective at killing acne-building bacteria in the skin’s pores and oil glands which cause breakouts. We offer a program of blue light treatments, depending on each individual’s condition, to treat acne without the use of antibiotics.

Chronic Wound Light Therapy

To help our patients through any wound-healing process we use red and blue light therapy. This natural and non-invasive therapy has been clinically proven to significantly assist the healing process by increasing the blood flow to the affected area.
